15 East
A very luxurious and high-end Japanese restaurant. Not very wallet-friendly, but if you can afford it, the experience is absolutely worth it. Executive Sushi Chef Masato Shimizu is in charge of the sushi bar, encouraging customers to sit with him at the bar and ask him questions. The menu offers a fine, fresh, and carefully chosen selection of appetizers, dishes from the sushi bar, and dishes from the kitchen.

A Chef’s tasting menu with seven courses is available for $75, allowing you to try several dishes at once. For lunch try the Prix-Five Lunch, which includes three courses (they change daily) for $29. Sushi Bar Appetizers include Ikura Shoyu Zuke (soy-marinated salmon roe) for $8, and Kumamoto Oysters (ponzy granite, mitsuba & house-pickled seasonal vegetables) for $18.
